1 Wear them exactly as prescribed. Follow your doctor's directions for when and how long to wear your Mediven stockings. Also, try to put your Mediven stockings on as soon as you get out of bed in the morning. Leg swelling is less pronounced in the morning, so it will be easier to put them on.

2. Follow care instructions carefully. Proper care ensures not only that you stockings last as long as possible, but that they continue to provide maximum therapeutic value to treat your vein problems.

3. To ensure the best therapeutic results from medical stockings, they should be worn every day and replaced every 6 months.

• Hand or machine wash you Mediven stockings separately from other laundry, in warm water on a delicate setting.
• Use a gentle detergent-ask your Medi dealer about MediCare Wash. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.
• Rinse well in warm water.
• Air dry on a delicate setting in a spin dryer. Do not lay your stockings on a towel to dry.
• If you stockings have a silicone top band, air dry only.
• Wash your stockings daily to extend their life.
